A Country Weekend and Week 8

18 Jul

After my successful long run on Thursday, I was feeling pretty tired all day Friday. That led to a very low-key Friday night. We ordered Chicago Pizza and watched some pretty terrible movies on TV.

Saturday was a bit more exciting because we were going to the Tim McGraw concert!

We hosted a pre-concert party at my apartment and then it was into the party bus for the concert! I love taking party busses to concerts because you don’t have to worry about anyone driving.

The concert was at an outdoor venue so it was kind of hard to hear at times. He did play my favorite new country song though “Country Girl Shake it For Me” so I was pretty happy about that.

By the end of the night we were all a little exhausted, and quite tispy.

It was such a fun concert though! Too bad I fell asleep on the bus ride home.

Week 8 ended up being an awesome training week! I had a great 10 mile long run, and did a little speed-work. Goal 1 and Goal 2, check and check!

  • Sunday: 16 mile bike ride
  • Monday: 4 miles speed work
  • Tuesday: 6 mile tempo
  • Wednesday: Weights and Elliptical
  • Thursday: 10 miles 1:33
  • Friday: Off (30 min walk for 100 day challenge)
  • Saturday: 3 miles easy
Weekly Total: 23 miles (highest mileage so far this training cycle!)
Let’s hope this week is just as successful! It is supposed to be in the 90’s all week so that is not so promising 😦
How was your weekend?

Love your boots! I need a pair of cowboy boots but the ones I find that I like are always so expensive.
