Moving Day + July

1 Aug

I had such an amazingly relaxing weekend.

But really, who could not have a relaxing weekend when you are spending it here?

Too bad today is back to reality..and moving day. Luckily I managed to make this mess a bit more compact.

It is still going to be a very very long day. Once I get in my new apartment I have NO idea when I am going to have internet again so hopefully I won’t be too MIA from blogging.

With it being August 1st and all it is time for a month of July recap! Only two more weeks until the big half marathon!

July in Review

  • Total Miles: 97
  • Days Run: 15
  • Longest Run: 12 miles
  • Races Run: 0
Overall I’d say this month was a success! It is the highest mileage month I’ve had since tracking by running (Jan 11) and it should have been even higher except I skipped out on my 4th run from last week.
I didn’t do any races even though I would have liked too. It was just so hot all month that racing probably would have been miserable. I did substantially increase my long run from 7 miles in June to 12 miles in July.
Another plus is that I had great recovery from my 12 soreness at all and just a little tiredness in my legs.
August will be the month of the Chicago Rock n Roll half marathon and then I expect my running to slow down a bit. I don’t have any big plans past that race. That is unless I bomb it, then I might decide to run another half in September.
Time to work work work until 3 pm comes and moving day begins!
Do you like moving? (does anyone actually like moving?!) How do you get through how stressful it is?

Good luck on the move! I hate moving day… gross…

If you’re looking for a shorter race in Sept, I’m helping my friend put on a 5k in Buffalo Grove… it’s called the Diamond Dash and we may or may not be running with tiaras and tutus…

I hope your move goes smoothly!

And WOW! Look at how far you ran in ONE month! Gosh you are fast. 🙂
